How to sell on Argos

In short

Argos chooses its marketplace sellers. You apply through Argos's seller page, and if accepted you list through its seller back office, which runs on Mirakl. You deliver orders and handle returns yourself.

1. Apply

Argos invites sellers to apply through a questionnaire on its Sell on Argos page. It asks about your business, your turnover, the categories you sell, how many products you have and how you would connect your listings.

2. Have your details ready

Sellers commonly need a UK VAT number, a company number and their country of registration. Check Argos's current terms for exactly what it asks for before you apply.

3. List through the seller back office

Argos's marketplace runs on Mirakl. You add listings and download orders there, by hand, by file, or through a connector.

4. Deliver and handle returns yourself

You send each order and handle its returns and refunds. FBA sellers often consider Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) from their FBA stock, or a 3PL; check Argos's current terms on packaging and carriers before you choose. Sellers report that marketplace orders cannot be collected from or returned to Argos stores; check Argos's current terms.

5. Meet Argos's service rules

Argos sets dispatch times, a returns window and how quickly you reply to customers. Check the current rules in your agreement before you commit stock.

Before you apply: which products?

Not every product that sells on Amazon earns its place on Argos. Argos's commission is charged on the price including VAT, you pay for delivery, and some buyers would have bought from you on Amazon anyway. Trestle checks each product against all three before you list. See how Argos fees work and how the costs compare with Amazon.
